Hi everyone
Following on from the fantastic launch of Kids without Connections, Hazel has asked me to get in touch to thank everyone who was able to come to the business breakfast on May 11th. Over 70 business representatives joined us at Salford City College to hear how their business could offer a local young person a work experience placement and really make a difference to that person gaining experience which will help them find a job.
I know not everyone was able to come so I thought I would send you some information about how the scheme will run – see the Frequently Asked Questions sheet attached - and an electronic copy of the business placement form.
The closing date is approaching soon and if you haven’t done so already, we would kindly ask you to fill out the attached form and offer a young person in Salford a chance to work with you. It only takes 5 minutes to fill in and please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me if you would like any further help or clarification.
By offering an unemployed young person a work experience placement with your company you are really making a difference to our community and giving someone an opportunity that I know they will grasp with both hands.
Please could you send your form to kidswithoutconnections@gmail.com by the end of the week. Please feel free to pass this on to any businesses you know that may also like to take part.
