In 1976 the
Western Sahara was illegally occupied by its neighbours.
The
Saharawi people’s dreams for de-colonisation and liberty were smashed as they
were napalmed from their homes.
Many were
driven into exile to desert refugee camps near Tindouf in Algeria where they
have lived ever since.
The rest of
the Saharawi nation live in subjugation
under an occupying force
behind a 2,700 km sand wall and minefields.
International
law and UN decisions to allow a free referendum have been ignored by the
invader, Morocco.
Because
the world does not care enough,
Because
most people have never heard of The
Saharawi.
